Posted: 07/24/03 - 14:08 Post subject: Good TUNA!!
I'm usually not a big tuna fan (without all the mayo & stuff) But I just tried Starkist's new product (in the foil pack) Tuna Creations. It was great!!
They have:
Hickory Smoked (this is the one I had)
Garlic and Herb
Zesty Lemon Pepper
Sweet & Spicy
A little chopped dill pickle and some salt & pepper. A few pretzels on the side. MMmmmmm....
I bought all four...I'll let you know how the others are when I try them for lunch this week.

O.K.----here is my review:
Hickory Smoked--This one is GREAT!! My favorite!!
Zesty Lemon Pepper --2nd Favorite----a little lemony but once you add the pickles, salt-n-pepper---it's good
Garlic and Herb---EWWW! To much of a fake garlic taste. Blech!!
Sweet & Spicy---O.K.--I took one bite and tossed it. This is ANYTHING but spicy and taste like tuna with sugar in it.

Thanks for the update--will definitely try the hickory smoked.
But please, tell us how you really feel about the Sweet and Spicy--you're being vague.

I am still trying to picture hickory smoked tuna....to me, the two just do NOT go together, but I'm curious so I'll try it!

genie,
I guess it would be like if you grilled tuna over wood. And the smoked flavor is light...not very overpowering. My wife said she hardly noticed it.
