Posted: 01/27/03 - 14:19 Post subject: Good News Report!!
Let's all share some of our latest 'Good News' shall we?
I'll go first. Just got a call from one of my bestest friends telling me that she's getting married! and she wants me to stand up in her wedding! The guy she's marrying is also a close friend so it's gonna be a hella-wickedly fub time.
August 16th in Asheville, North Carolina baby! I've been dying to get down there and I'm finally gonna see it!
Ok, now you go.

Abby is walking but you all knew that. I thought I would share that again because she rocks my face off.

We refinanced our mortgage, added on a chunk o' change, and are building a new addition onto our house without adding very much to our monthly payments! Can't wait...

I assume that you are adding a brewing/tasting room...
Edited to add: I have no good news to add, but then again I have no bad news to add, so that is good news.

Mr. rock gets a new job -- his company was asked by the US Defense dept to open a National Center for Defense Machining and Manufacturing RIGHT HERE IN OUR HOMETOWN and they asked Mr. Rock to be the top dog. El Director-o!!
he is now working for his company and Uncle Sam and has pledged to save the gov't one ga-zillion dollars by streamlining and updating all their engineering/machining/manufacturing processes as far as defense contracts go.
no more world travel for him, but he is officially a Washington-Boy. HUGE responsibility but he is up for it and needed this in a year that has been full of personal disappointment and tragedy for us.

Apparently the water here at Riff Raff has permeated through to SoCal. My sister announced, during half time yesterday, that she's having a baby!

Well this is old news to me, but I don't think I've shared it with the crowd. Mrs. Rubberlegs is expecting a baby in Sept.

I don't recall you telling us that before, RL....congrats!! Is this your first?
Well, you all know they FINALLY hired my replacement, who starts next Monday, so hopefully the workload will calm down a little within the next month or two. And, school is going AWESOME, I'm loving it!!
Thanks for posting this, I needed a little reminder that life in general is pretty good right now, even if stuff is stil making me nuts!
