Our last hamster went to the big wheel in the sky 2 weeks ago. The kids go to a fair Sunday and bring home 2 goldfish each. They are in big glass bowls now. Now I have to go out and get some mini aquariums. Guess who is going to have to clean them.

Maybe I'll turn our inground pool into a 20k gallon koi pond. Cool

They can live 15-25 years if kept properly. i.e. not in a bowl. They recommend 10 gallons for every 1 inch of goldfish. Shocked That's just not going to happen. I'm thinking of a 5 gallon kit.

10 gallon tank, NO HEATER for them. they don't need it and it would only hurt them in the long run......look at using an undergravel filer sytem that you can combine with a of the back tank and use PURIGEN in the external filer.......VERY CLEAN SET UP minimal cleaning needed

you could go for a twenty gallon and and it would take even less maintenace...a rule of thumb is the larger the tank, the less amount of work needed on it.....unless you Want to talk about DeskPonds* Mr. Green

*DeskPonds won't work for goldfish and i couldn't seel one in good conscience

My younger brother and sister are keeping 2 in a 5 gallon unheated tank with and undergravel filter and fake plants.
They are doing ok so far.

I still prefer my tropicals.... Mr. Green
