My bike is on the back of a UPS truck somewhere and I'm going nuts waiting for it to be delivered. I'm expecting two other packages also today and I have no clue where they are. One of the pkgs. is pedals, so it's crucial that they arrive today.
To make matters worse, a buddy of mine who has the exact same bike called me on Saturday to ask if I had gotten it yet and then went on and on and on about what a great bike it was and how much I was going to love riding it.
Impatience is killing me!

You cant track the package. If it were up here, I could get the truck stopped for you and get a special delivery.

I've only got the tracking # for the bike and it's being delivered to my house. If it were coming to work, the UPS guy (who knows me on a first name basis) would go out of his way to make sure I got it.

Well, why didn't you have it delivered to the office? I have all of my packages delivered here because I know I am going to get them.

Because Mrs. Hayes will be home to sign for it, otherwise, I'd have it delivered here. Plus, if I got it delivered to work, I'd get even less work than normal done.

Even those frilly VS things you've ordered for Mrs. Runswithscissors? Don't people look at you funny?

How many times have you called home to see if it's there yet?

Zero. I've left strict instructions for my wife to call me at work when she hears the UPS truck coming down the street.
