I have set a few goals for the upcoming year.

1. run 1200 miles for the year, should be doable.
2. stick with my weight program (started today)
3. run the okoboji 1/2 marathon in july
4. run the sioux falls 1/2 marathon in september
5. run the mount rushmore marathon in october.

If I can increase my mileage, and gain some strength, I should hopefully see my marathon time drop, instead of raise.

Total Mileage: 1750

PRs I'll be gunning for:

Distance---Current---Goal Time
====================
5K 24:33 23:30
8K 43:13 sub 40:00
10K 52:31 sub 50:00
half 1:54:21 sub 1:50:00
full 4:20:11 sub 4:00:00

very lofty goals, but the I feel they are achievable (especially the half)...

(ll this will be done injury free of course....) Wink

Run 3 marathons. Just did one, so I have two to go.
Get that marathon time back down to 3:30. Guess this means speedwork
Do 2 or 3 sprint triathlons
Do 1 Olympic distance triathlon.
Run at least 1745 miles.
Bike 1000 miles
Swim 50 miles.

And, as a motivating tool:
Run a mile for each person listed as a victim of 9/11.

Get weekly mileage into the 40-50 mile range. Run two sub 4 marathons. Get my 10k time under 44 minutes. Get my 5k under 20 minutes.

I don't know why, but I just really want to do an ultra-marathon in 2004. Maybe a 50k first, then a 50 miler. (I guess we are getting ahead of ourselves).

I think I can, I think I can...
