Posted: 01/29/05 - 13:43 Post subject: Goals before i graduate HS!
i was just thinkin that if we all post some goals ( not matter long or short term ) on here and we post how we are doing, they would be more likely to work
here are mine, im a sophmore so i have two years:
200 - 22.5 Seconds
300- 35.8 Seconds
400 - 50.1 Seconds
600- 1:20.05 Minutes ( 1 Minutes 20.05 Seconds)
800- 1:52.02 Minutes ( 1 Minutes 52.02 Seconds)
1600 ( Mile )- 4:49.04 ( 4 minutes 49.04 Seconds)
Triple Jump: 40 feet 1 and 1/4 Inches
i will post my times every two months ( ill try at least ) to keep my self honest
thanks

If you can get to 50.1 for 400 and 1:52 for 800, you should be closer to 4:10 for the mile.

i also had a question
it seems to me my stop between being in the head of the pack to being towards the middle starts somewhere after the 600
what could i do to get my 800 and mile times up ( ive never timed them before but i know im not a good mid distance guy )
thanks in advance

First of all get rid of that negative attitude!! You're probably a great distance guy.
Second, run them, time them. PRACTICE.

i got my mile time today................
5:48 but it was on a tredmill so the conversion chart said it should be a 5:33 so when i wanted to increase speed i had to push the button and hold it which became annoying
now could someone tell me if this lines up
my quater mile = 57.3 Seconds
my mile = 5:33 Minutes
it seems like the mile should be faster
but i am by no means a long distance guy, which i hope to improve in XC next year
