Hello all,
I've been trying to get back into running for a few years now with little success. I ran track in high school and was a great sprinter. I found a love for the 5k the last semester of my senior year, noting that the better I got at that race, the stronger I finished my 400m sprint---until then, my most hated sprint.
I've noticed a few things that tend to keep me in front of the computer/TV during the fall semester. The constant wind and cold combine to make running not very enjoyable. I usually take tons of hours each semester b/c I wanna graduate next spring, and when I'm not in school, I'm at work, leaving me pretty worn-out at the end of the day.
The following are a few questions whose answers I hope will help me get back into it this winter season:
1) What company/companies make good winter activewear?
2) Would crosstraining (swim/bike) during the winter be a better alternative to running?
Thanks for any and all help.
