Well I went to the Expo today and found got my race packet and 1 pair of shoes (50% off) and 2 shirts, 2 shorts (1 set for 20 bucks and the other for 26 bucks) and a new white running hat. Tomorrow hopefully by 9:40 I will be done!

I am shooting for a 67 or better which is a 7:11 pace over the 15K course. If I do that I can earn a seeded number for next year so I don't have to start in with the rest of the 8000 runners that show up for this race. I will let everyone know tomorrow how I did.

Then starting at 11:30 tomorrow night they will be broadcasting the finish on the local television so I can tape my finish and see how bad I looked!

Here are the results from my watch. I was shooting for a 67 or better and I ended up at 68:23 so not to bad.

Mile 1: Missed the split
Mile 2: 14:36 14:36
Mile 3: No Marker
5K: 7:56 22:56
Mile 4: 6:34 29:05
Mile 5: 7:21 36:27
Mile 6: 7:25 43:53
10K: 1:45 45:38
Mile 7: 5:46 51:24
Mile 8: 7:59 59:23
Mile 9: 7:04 1:06:27
15K Finish: 1:56 1:08:23

Today the weather was great, cloudy and about 59 degrees at race time and stayed that way for the whole race. As soon as I get the official splits and time and place I will post them.

As usual the fan support for this race was fantastic. People along almost the whole course cheering family and everyone else along.

I did NOT puke on top of the Hart bridge like last year, although I did puke after I crossed the finish line!

I missed my dream goal of 67 but I broke 70 so that is huge since it was almost a 6 minute drop from last year.

Have a great day everyone.

Here are the results from www.1stplacesports.com:

Overall: 607/7092
Age Group: 77/100
Gun Time: 1:09:05
Chip Time: 1:08:19
5K Split: 23:15
10K Split: 46:21

I am very happy with these results. I beat most of the guys I run with except for the 2 speed demons! (just a personal victory here sorry for the gloating)
