I didnt say it was basic, I saw someone else post that about it. I was wanting opinions here on what your thoughts were. I havent seen it yet, so I have no opinions yet. Sounds like it will work well for tracking your runs, which it what it is supposed to do.
Here is a website that was listed by someone at CR that he said worked with the Forerunner. I looked at the site and it looks good. It wont replace the forerunner software, but it may a nice addition. Just thought I would pass it on to anyone who is interested.

Somebody's impersonating you!
Have you had the chance to download it yet? Hopefully, you won't have any problems getting it d/l'd...maybe you should do the update (to the latest version) before you try the logbook software.
Good luck.

As mentioned, it's probably a good idea to download the 201's update first. I'm not certain but I believe that there was something mentioned about it that had to do with data transfer. Anyway, get that done first. It goes pretty quickly. Then download the Logbook. I think it's 4megs or so. If you have your 201 right there, you'll then be able to hook it up and do the transfer. That takes no time, really. Then you can look at all your runs. It breaks down the info for each leg (which you've preset, right?) and you can also look at the info for the entire run.
Truly, it's no great shakes as far as a piece of software...it IS kinda basic but at least you'll be able to see everything more easily.

Yes part of the update is for use with the logbook. it is also not the only part of the update. this is actually a major update with increased functions. you can tell by the fact they gave went from the 2.20 to 3.0
i'll get to use the interval trainer tonight with my Gallo-walk tonight.

I'm doing a 6-7 mile run/walk interval test with mine tonight going from my house to Tucker High School's track. I'm going to be doing run 1 mile/walk 60 seconds, which is what I'm also doing for the Myrtle Beach Marathon Saturday.

Despite our little snafu with Amazon,
the Garmin is a HUGE hit at our house!!
Bestest surprise I've been able to surprise him with in a long time.

For those of you having trouble with the Garmin freezing when downloading your laps to the logbook, a new software version is out there that takes care of this problem.
Load 3.10 and you should find your runs will download without further problems.
Garmin apparently does listen to the users of their product.
Also, on their software update page you can enter your email address to receive announcements from them to keep abreast with the latest software updates/changes.
