1. carts jammed together that qualify a mini workout trying to unjam them.
2. people in the middle of the aisles.
3. slow shoppers who hoard space infront of items with their bodies and carts.
4. musak
5. kids who have control of the cart as the parent meanders around and the kid just about smacks into my cart.
6. the mentality that my own daughter takes on after seeing the kid with the cart.... why can't I do that too, MOM!?!
I hate, hate, hate grocery shopping. I actually have a neigbor who says it's "her special time for herself." I said...oh, I run. My special time must be pretty special alright by the way she looked at me. Give me Talbots anytime. Better yet, a Talbots with nothing onsale. |
that one person you "meet" whilst trying to unjam the cart usually stays in your way for the entire way thru the store. parking themselves in your way no matter where you go and then -- the best part - they always beat you into the checkout line. but still manage to get in your way in the parking lot. |
sometime, I purposely turn down an aisle I don't need just to lose that obstacle of a person, yet, my fate plans it out in such a way that I turn down the next aile and it gets worse because there stands the 80 year old shopper who is in a walker.
i try to shop late in the day, so i have an excuse to LOL!

We go to the grocery store when it first opens on either Saturday or Sunday morning. That way we beat all the old, slow folks and pretty much have the place to ourselves!

I went to a general store once, and they wouldn't let me buy anything specific

I bet they were real vague with all the prices too...
prohemp: How much for this jam, mister?
mister: Could be $3...could be $6!

what i hate is how they bag stuff.
i can go to publix and buy a sandwich, a bag of chips, a magazine, and a coke and leave with 6 bags. how? dont ask me. when they do that i always make sure that i give them a dirty look that says bite me and then procede to downsize the number of bags by putting multiple items in the same bag...
oh yeah, and then theres the really old, really slow lady who always manages to be the one to help me when i get the sandwich. a 10 min trip to the store usually winds up turning into a 45 min fiasco...

I love it, when other shoppers steal my cart. That's great.
