So, out of the clear blue today my brother calls (that happens maybe once/year). He made a comment about traveling with his job and wondered if I could help him find some cheap airfare. He would be driving to FL and he wanted me to get a one-way ticket from FL to KY for the other person he was taking along. It sounded suspicious but I didn't say anything.
Later in the conversation I said "Oh, is (insert wife's name) going with you on your trip." He said "oh, didn't you hear? We have been split up for 6 months! When I get back from my trip I will be filing for a divorce."
UGH!!!!!!!! I give up!

At the risk of sounding aloof. These are NOT YOUR PROBLEMS !! You have expressed your thoughts to them about the situations they are involving themselves in. These two people are adults, as such they are making decisions on their own.
When my kids get into the "It wasn't my fault" or "I did not mean to" mode I calmly reply: "Did someone put a gun to your head and make you do that ?" Personally this should be the way to go - if they made a mistake then you're on record. If they didn't then so be it.

Certainly family has a permanent place in everyone's heart, but no where is it written that there dilemmas become ours. Yeah, riff-raff is here to blow a little steam on occasion, but really, running other peoples lives, siblings included, just can't be done.

Yeah, I was more blowing off steam then actually putting any action behind my words. It's just another two divorces to add to the KY divorce rate!
