So I am going out my side door yesterday and see my neighbor who has been installing a new side door holding his hand and wobbling around a bit...looks kina pale too.
Hey Mike...you OK?
Uhh...not really..
Need some help?...
Uhh...I think I have a problem..
What's wrong? (I am walking over to him at this point)...
Uhh....I had an accident...
What happened?
I drilled into the end of my finger with the hammer drill...
OK...have a seat here and leme take a look...
Well..it's not bleading...how are you feeling...(I elevate the arm)
I'm woozy...
OK...where is J (his wife)?
Inside..
Hey J!!
What?
Mike had a little accident
*abject panic* *abject panic*
OK...now calm down...we need to get him to the hospital...and I need your cooperation...
*sniff* OK....
*THUD* Mike passes out...
Get me some pillows and call 911!!
C'mon J...get me some pillows to elevate his feet and call 911!!
She gets pillows and calls 911
I get feet elevated, put a drop cloth over him and keep the arm elevated and pressure on the finger...
Mike wakes up and looks around...
Hey there slick...or should I call you Tim The Tool Man??
Weak smile...why am I on the floor?
Uhh you passed out....your a little shocky there big guy...
Amulance arrives and I update the crew and the EMT's..(I know em all)
They all go to the hospital..
I clean up the tools and staple plastic sheeting over the door opening. Turn on some interior lights and lock the place up.
Got a phone call later that night...G...we love you! You are the best neighbor!!
Can't wait to get home an see if he's using the reciprocating saw yet.

Ya might wanna get involved before it comes out of the box...
Kudos to you for helping. I've been on his end too many times before, and you can't quite function the way you need to.
Next time I put a nail through my foot, mind if I call you?

Mike is the guy who owned the dojo at the golds gym in thorndale. Big guy. When he went down, his legs buckled and he started to drop, I stuck my arms under his armpits and lowered him the rest of the way...felt like a sack of cement...
Dang glad I have been working out...he's gota be 260...

You are a good neighbor. I'm not allowed to even look at the power tools at home or at the gym. Hell, I prolly won't be allowed to touch the toaster anymore either.
