I am raising money for the Arthritis Society and I need $1000 more to reach my goal...

guest bartending at a bar. contact an air line and hold a raffle. see some of the neighborhood stores and see if they can contribute raffle items as well so you can have several different raffles. Contact organization that you belong to/work for. a lot of them have funds for PR that they need to use.

get two local restaurants to donate dinner for two and then raffle off a weekend out to dinner where the winner (and a guest) can dine at each of the restaurants

I don't actually get there until the 8th. I leave here on the 7th and stay in Vancouver for the night and we get there on the 8th...
