It was my first time back out on the roads in a long time this morning. I was great to be away from the dreadmill and I always love the feeling of fall in the air! The sky looked beautiful and I could see several familiar constellations. Oh how I remember those wonderful days of marathon training - getting up before the sun and enjoying a peaceful run...but that was when I had street lights! Today's run wasn't quite that peaceful but the adrenaline in my body kept me pumping right along.
I ran to the shopping center this morning and continued on a lit path throughout the stores. The nice, soothing music coming from the shopping center is always nice to run by. Safeway is the DEVIL with their yummy smells of donuts rising in the air but that was quickly covered by the smell of paint fumes from KFC/Taco Bell as they were getting a fresh coat of paint put on their lines in the parking lot. I never thought that smell would go away until I ran past a newspaper delivery boy puffing away on this cigarette. There was quite a bit of activity for five in the morning!
I don't know exactly how far I ran given the course I took but all in all it was a really good 40 minute run.

I haven't run for a week now and I won't today either. 53 and rain all day with varying degrees of intensity. I'm going to get some housework done, go shopping, and run tomorrow . My muscles are achy and are in need of a good run. My running buddy needs to put in 20, so I'll run half with her early in the morning sometime.

Good job Diva! I never seem to get on the road these days...I need to work on getting out there at least once on the weekends when I don't have to worry about doing something with the kids.
45 minutes on the elliptical. Abs.
Very blah week for me of working out. I think I'm still recovering from our vacation last week. I'm hoping to feel inspired, jazzed up and motivated next week.....I'm hoping...........

Went out with Mr Aire on his PT run this AM. Just walked while he ran. It was nice being out there with no cars and no people.
