I listed a Wagner Power Painter on FreeCycle today and my criteria for choosing the winner was that he/she had to write an entertaining lymeric/poem/song/whatever.

Mostly I did this to filter out those that use auto-reply to try to get a shot at everything that gets listed.

Here's the winning entry.

Quote:
"The Recalled Siding Anthem"

sung to the tune of "I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy"

I'm a Yankee Noodle Dum-my,
A northern Yankee Noodle wreck,
I bought a house with re-called si-i-ding,
And NOw-ow I'm up to my neck,

In painting, carpentry, and lum-ber,
A chore I really do ab-hor,
But-if-I-had-a-paint-spray-er-a-wagner-pow-er-paint-er
I would come ri-ight to your door.

Man, you must have a really small freecycle community. People in my neck of the woods would never put up with that kind of stuff. They'd be like - keep your old crappy power painter, I'll go buy one at Home Depot! Wink

Your FreeCycle group just sucks. I got a number of e-mails telling me what a great idea it was. Even people that didn't want the painter thought it was cute.
