I was speaking in general terms. Lots of activist judges overturn laws where majority of the people have voted. That seems to be a real problem with me.

and yet, discrimination against a group of people doesn't seem to cause you as much consternation.

The job of the judicial branch of government is to interpret laws based upon points of law not popularity (or the majority view of voters or non-voters or donors). The job of the legislature is to create/change laws- this is the point that lawmakers can and should be influenced by their constituents.
alan... thanks for the perspective... I was hoping that was the case. A quick google of him didn't give me a sense of him.
