I often wonder why CPR courses aren't mandatory in high school/college?

We had CPR in high school health class.

Also - confirm this story. I heard this from the guys who went to the boys' Catholic HS in Green Bay, as well as a person who I worked with here who went to one in Chicago...

... if the Catholic schools had swimming pools (yes, I'm a poet, and I know it), why did they make the students swim naked? A legit question.

my dad learned to swim in high school, a public high school. he says that they swam naked in that class. (remember, dad graduated from HS in 1957) And it was, of course, NOT co-ed.

The requirement is fertile ground for campus legends, some true, most not. Before Notre Dame began admitting women in the early 1970s, students did indeed take the test in the buff.

Can you just imagine the shrinkage??

Since I don't think I could swim enough to pass that test (due to fear of the water and I refuse to actually put my head in). I'd never, ever get a college degree.
