I just thought of another aspect of Walmart that, perhaps, was covered in the shows mentioned (I didn't watch). Walmart is not only driving the marketplace (CD content/labeling) but also driving technology innovation. For inventory tracking and more, they will require suppliers to have all their products to have RFID labels (radio frequency identification). This will allow Walmart to track every last piece of merchandise before it is purchased. Heck, in theory they could track where you take that product... your home address.
Anyway RFID is evolving to become more affordable, more assessable to vendors because of the push from them. In this case, there is research being done into printed RFID (yanno, ink on paper) labels. Very interesting.

Actually, PBS would probably sell you a copy. I know they sell copies of their more popular programs.

hah! I'm way to cheap to buy something like that. Not to mention often without disposible income. Interestingly evolution of this subjects... shopping at Walmart does indeed save me money on my grocery expenses; that's why I shop there about once every ten days.
