My dear old Dad when he was alive couldn't come at blackcurrants. This was quite noticeable to me as a child because Dad, a product of the great depression was 'the total omnivore'. Harsh experience had drilled into him "waste not, want not' and 'eat what ever is put in front of you'; but blackcurrants or anything made with blackcurrants was avoided like the plague.
This coming from a man who would eat anything well past its best.
So one day I put it to him and asked why. His explanation was that they reminded him of earwigs, which tasted most unpleasant.

adding black currants to my list . 
i can't/won't eat anything in or affected by any sort of "cream sauce" which includes sour cream, mayonaise, yogurt, cream cheese....anything that is touched by these ingredients is off limits and so is anything that one of these things may touch or contaminate by proximity, as in too close to it on the buffet line.....NFW.
oh, and red meat is vile.

other than the yogurt I am right with you on this, mayo is absolutley sick, cream cheese sucks and sour cream might as well be called sour puke!!!!
