anyone do that?
We just signed up for one and are getting a lot of meat delivered tomorrow. We just cannot seem to keep up with the meat supply in our house and now we got it coming in bulk. We figured we will actually save money because we pay a flat rate for all of the meat.
The deal is pretty cool because all of the meat is flash frozen and defrosts in 15 minutes with luke warm water. It is also individually wrapped so we can take out exactly what we need.

We used to do something like that when I was growing up, since we had a decent sized family. I would definitely look into it if I ever get into a family situation. But snice it's just me, I don't think it would be very cost effective.

I have a service like that - it's called The Paramedic.
Dude, I don't feel like cooking - grab a pizza or some Chinese on your way home!
Seriously, we get our chicken from the grocery store, and our beef from the butcher or Lone Star Steakhouse. If we cooked more often for the two of us together, I might consider a delivery service. But since I usually cook for me, it's something easy and quick (veggies, a sandwich, a yogurt) and he fends for himself. Things would get freezer burned before they'd get used at Chez Partay.

I subscribed to a produce delivery service for about a year and the only thing I didn't like about it was the fact that it came every week, rain or shine. If you had had a relatively vegetable free week the week before you would have this fridge that was stuffed solid with organic kale the following Tuesday.

We order from Schwans, but the delivery is every two weeks and we select what we want. So far it has been all desserts.
