I just returned from a 10 day vacation in Calgary for the Stampede, run 21K, and hike, dance, and visit.
So leaving Calgary on Zip airlines and for the 90 minute flight, they only give you a drink. No problem I got food (Gu ) so I'm set.
But the lady next to me was not, so she asked the flight attendant about getting her some peanuts. .............. A few moments later the FA returns, hand over the bag of nuts and said that will be a $$$ 1.09 please.
"What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I'm being charged for peanuts on a low cost carrier?
Oh favorite city with a good airport is: Las Vegas.

Miami had to be the worst airport. Most of the security people didn't speak any English, (this is America, yes).
Tampa and Orlando's airports were real nice, very clean and well kept.

I like my little Wobegon airport.. 2 flights, one in the a.m. and one in the p.m. keepin' life simple. As for the bigger ones, I enjoy them all since I only fly once every year or two. Let's see, airports I've been to:
BOI, MDW, DEN, DLH, LAX, MSP, JFK, SNA, MCO, SLC, SAN, SFO, SJC, SEA, GEG. Not much compared to some of you jet-setters, I'm sure

My favorite airport evah was el'de sol (sp?) literally, "Island of the Sun" . The toilets were holes in a plank of wood, but the bar was fully stocked. However; the runway appeared to slide into the ocean and the sunrise was fantastic (hence the name I suppose.) Kinda the best from a novelty/view point and worst from other more obvious standpoints.

I have yet to find an airport where I was anxious to do anything but get out of it. And I have been to a bunch of them.

Worst story was getting delayed in Baltimore for 90 minutes. Luckily I was with a rather large group (high school trip) and they held the connecting flight at Charlotte for us. Even then, we just barely made it. What made it worse was since we were on a high school trip, the teachers and parents would not allow the students off the plane.
Miami has been ranked as the worst airport for delays. Over Christmas break, I had a 30 minute delay while waiting to takeoff from Miami to Charlotte. We had no problem catching our connecting flight in Charlotte that time though.
Favorite airport? Indianapolis. It is my home airport and since I don't fly much, it is the only one I know decently well. Phoenix Sky Harber was nice, but had a lot of construction a few years ago. Since the construction has finished (at least I think it has), it may be a lot nicer. I'll see in January when I go there for a race.

I love flying.
Frankfurt's airport is really cool. Cool stores to shop in, too.
I do not like PHL or IAH (houston). Houston's is notorious for dropping you off in one zip code and having a connecting flight--15 minutes later in another zip code altogether.
My favorite: Albuquerque. Small, slow paced, and excellent breakfast burritos.

My first and only flight was pretty cool. St. Louis to Denver to Las Vegas. It was before all the 9-11 stuff. When we were getting off the plane in Denver my friend talked the pilots into letting her and I sit in the cockpit! I've got pics to prove it too. The pilots even gave us their hats to wear while we posed for pics. Denver and Vegas airports were nicer than St. Louis.

The best one I"ve been to is in Amsterdam. Brightly lit, a big playroom for the kids, sushi counter, and massage area.

I love to travel and don't mind flying to do so.
Favorite airline: Southwest hands down--great customer service, great prices...what else do you need? Lots of great stories of this airline, all positive.
The rest in my opinion tie for worst but several have more bad days than others. Delta would be one of those.
I've never been scared flying but the only time I thought I was going to die on a plane was a delta flight and I'll spare all the flying phobes on this site the details but in the end Delta handled the entire situation extremely poorly. So much so I seriously debated renting a car to drive from Boston to Houston. Of course even the way to Heaven connects in Atlanta so I'm sure I'll fly them again at some point.
Worst airport would have to be CVG--Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport. Maybe because I've been stranded there so many times. by delta...
Best airport...Orlando's is nice (all except the Comair, aka Delta, terminal, they forgot to put chairs or A/C in there) Reagan is interesting and Denver is probably the coolest airport I've been in. JFK is fun because of the accents (they apparently hired Linda Richman to do flight announcements... ) and Key West's is about the size of my cube.
I have to second Airehead's sentiments about IAH, but since its usually the start/end of my trip I really don't care!!

The most tense moment for me was Nov 2001 flying into Pittsburg to connect into Philly for the Philly marathon & 8K.
Any way we had some serious fog the lat 45 minutes of the flight and it was a shock looking the the window and see (what I thought was clouds) as we were making our decent instead is us "landing" on the runway.
Airports I try to avoid period: Chicago (O'hare except last night), St Louis, Dallas/Ft Worth.
Winnpeg was weird as all the customs agents went on break at the same time so we had to wait 45 minutes (their lunch was 30) before getting to the gate.

ive only flown a few times but the most adventurous was last 4th of july (2002) when i was flying out of lax to philly. there was a small incident involving some psycho who decided to shoot up the check in desk at the israli airline. you know the whole international terminal was shut down and since the road to all the other terminals goes by there , i sat in traffic for about an hour when my taxi drivers buddy called him andn told him what was going on.
luckily, i wasnt far from my terminal so i got out and walked and made it to my gate and the flight even left pretty much on time. im so glad the peeps in charge that day had enough sense to keep the rest of the airport open...
the only airports ive been to are atl, lax, philly, and some rinky dink one near naples, fla... all were nice enough i guess
