My husband would not allow for roses to be in our wedding in any way, shape or form. Of course, the name of his ex-wife was Rose!

I love tulips, carnations, and odd colored roses (orange probably my favorite). My favoritest flower of all, however, is the tiger lily.
Dead flowers suck.

When my baby brother went to Drexel, he and his frat bros once picked up a whole slew of that on Lincoln Drive thinking it looked Hawaiian for some luau they had. he he.
Most women think "what'd you do?" when a man sends her flowers. I love them, though. Nothing says I love you like a nice unexpected bouquet o' flowers, especially at the office. Except Swedish Fish. NOTHING says I love you like Swedish Fish.

Growing up Italian I can tell you do not give Italians Chrisantemums unless there's a funeral involved...
I absolutely LOVE Roses. I remember a garden in Rome Italy that was about 2 acres of different roses... Carnations are among my favs too.
