A one day season would be too much for me. Those Floridians are CrAzY.

Gulf hurricane season goes to November, I believe. Usually after late Sept. you do not see much action.

Well that explains why all the retirees wait until November to leave Wobegon and head for Boca Raton.

Your safe in Oct. The season pretty much ends by the middle of Sept. The water starts to get to cold. This year, who knows? The water temp is almost 90 in some areas.

Pfff is correct!! However, you are also correct about the water temps. Down here, it's really shallow, and it's too hot to get in and wade most days!
How are you doing up there? At least it's down to a 2 now... We only have wind and rain, and not even as bad as it was from Charley. I am starting to think that all of the hype is worse than the hurricaine, but you have to be prepared.

Thanks for the info. I found out that there were some 26 hurricane/tropical storms in the Atlantic last year and a grand total of 5 of them hit the Eastern Coast. I figure my odds are really the same as not going to Valleyfair (think like a Six Flags amusement park, only not owned by Six Flags) because it's in the summer and thus tornado season. The odds are in my favor.
