Actually it is Pilates Resist-a-ball training, but that would no fit. I am going to get certified to teach it in December. Is this pretty worthwhile? DO you see a big market for it? (I a deferring to you because you are the personal trainer here..)I've got the info including the website at home..I'll post it later, but I am curious as to your thoughts.

While you're at it, how do you pronounce Pilates?
I thought it was like pilots but I heard someone on the radio say it like puh-lah-tees.

It is great for just what you said: core strength and flexibility. Where will you be teaching the class? Most people see pilates as being one of those fluff things the celebs do out in CA. If you can get their thinking past that it would be a great addition to your local gym's schedule. I've never done it, but I've heard that it kicks your butt.

I would be teaching at the local Y, once they implement it. It would be very part-time, although I'd rather do that full-time than what I do now. Maybe if I ever become a certified personal trainer... but I would get a free gym membership! It does kick you butt, BtW, but in a good way!

It is hard, but a great workout. I have the ball as well as some The Method floor exercise tapes and they are whoop ass, and great for runners because we often tend to neglect the core strength areas. I say go for it!! It's trendy right now so if you're good, you can probably develop quite a following.
Have you looked into personal trainer certification?
