Are you're balls in shape? Sorry, I couldn't resist. Mr. Green

But what I really want to know is whether anyone used fitness balls for core strength training. I've ordered a fitness ball and cd video off the internet after watching an infomercial last weekend. I'm not really out of shape but could stand to lose 10 pounds as well as tone some muscles. It looks more practical than using weights which I simply don't care for and it's easy to do in the mornings before work. And then I can still run in the afternoons.

Any opinions pro or con? Did I just throw $40.00 out the window, although that's no more than what my Bally's membership is costing me and I don't use it except when I need to run and the weather is really inclement, which is not often.

My balls are in great shape TYVM for asking. Mr. Green People use my balls all the time at the gym. Razz They are great for core strength training. Everything is attached to your core, don't neglect it. I preach this constantly at the gym. However, there are many exercises for the core without the ball too. It's a nice change though, mix it up.

I have one, and I use it for ab work. There are some sites with different exercises you can do, but I pretty much just do the ones I've always done.

I like mine. Smile

You can save about $30 by going to Marshalls or TJ Maxx and getting one there. There always seem to be a few there and the prices are marked way down.

I have one as well, only I got mine at wal-mart for about $20. It came with a big poster with tons of different exercises on it. I use it and i like it.

I limit myself to doing crunches on the balls. They are great for this sort of stuff. Part of the bennies is the balancing you have to do - which does help to strengthen your core muscles.

Don't worry - its money well spent.
