On Saturday I ran my first marathon on a quite hilly, but very beautiful course . Pre race I estimated I would run about 5 hours - I have only been running about 45-50k per week since March when IM was cancelled, so I knew I was light on miles. My chip time was 4.59.41 .

IMNZ in March . Our swim was cancelled and we ended up with a 90k bike and a 21k run. So I'm not an Ironman - I think I'm just a Plasticman .
Going back to have another go March 2007 and also planning on IM Canada August 2007 . Nothing like entering the second before you've done the first .

Wet . Story of my life this season - it has poured with rain for every event except one .
I felt fantastic! Went back to our holiday house and wandered off the front lawn into the freezing lake for 15 mins of leg soaking, then a mineral water soak, shower and burger and chips, followed later by dinner and copious quantities of Chardonnay .
