I'm still waiting to hear on the Children's Shelter gig. I guess the background checks (which are rather lengthy) take some time. I had another interview with a small accounting firm down here today, and they are taking me to lunch tomorrow. The owner seems quite nice, and while it doesn't pay what I was pulling down in Ohio, there are other benefits (more flexible hours, they pay ALL of your health insurance, and if we have a child! I can take him/her to work with me!) I could do this job in my sleep, and could also take advanatage of the (paid) CE opportunities.

I've got to get something, people. It's hard to find anything "normal" down here. There just aren't many jobs in my field unless I drive to Miami (80 miles) every day.

That was my sad tale for the day. This lack of security on my side of the equation is hard to handle.

Okay, done! I've got a job for you here in Ohio. Of course, if you come back, it'll be proof that you are totally insane. You'd probably be bored, over-educated (without a doubt!), and underpaid but...the job is guaranteed. Hired without a resume.

Oh, yeah...freezing rain/snow was predicted for today. It did rain but it's currently 54 degrees and sunny...for a little while longer.

Yeah, I didn't think so....

Right about now, I'd probably take it. Seriously. What's the job? Boy, won't Larry be surprised when I fly up to visit my friend Josh and don't come back. (We've had an interesting few days. I found out from one of his former employees that the restaurant is not doing as well as it was when he left it and they all want him back. Three of them left messages today).

Why would that surpise me? Hee Hee Mr. Green Sorry, I couldn't resist. It always seems weird to see my name in your posts. Anyways, good luck with the job search. I can't help you out unless you're looking to relocate to Texas. Very Happy

I'm moving to Wisconsin....Well, not really, but it sounded good. I don't know what's involved with being a scheduler, but I should be one.

I'm crossing my fingers for ya, and I know what you're going through. My field right now is just not hiring and who they are hiring are people with BA's because money is so tight. It is enough to drive one insane.

Heck I'll be a scheduler for a mere $60k! Where do I apply?

Beat it achey, I already have dibs on a move to Wisconsin Wink

K, I thought your last message said you were looking at other options? As in LEAVING that hellhole? I haven't gotten a chance to call you because I still didn't replace that cellphone, it's toast and I haven't had the time to go get a new one. Hopefully by the weekend.

We ARE still looking, but until we get some moving $$ (remember the whole situation as we've talked about) as we've exhausted a good portion of our savings dealing with a bogus attorney/higher cost of living/lower combined income. Unfortunately, to realistically get the hell out of dodge, we need more $$.
