How are you saving for the future? Have you got a solid plan layed out or are you winging it?
I've got a 401(k) through work that I'm giving 10% to and we get an employer match of 50 cents on the dollar but that's it for me. I don't even follow where I've got it invested that closely.

mostly through the 401 k
i redid robin and went to more govt bonds and cash stuff
i would rather gain a little money than lose any
right now money in the piggy bank does better than the stock market
at least the money in the piggy bank does not disappear
me the township has a municpal pension for us and an optional 401 k that is not matched but is all on us

401ks Me 10% Buffy 8%, a pretty decent amount.
(Buffys matches up to 5%, my company throws a couple dollars in there every year).
Some stocks, mostly utilities which pay a decent dividend.
Eventually to pay off all debt (sigh)
When I leave here, I am strongly considering using some of my 401k and stocks to pay off all debt, take the tax penalty, and be debt free for '03.
Eventually use remainder of 401k to buy a house (I figure a house is a better retirement plan than a large 401k and an apartment)

Right now 401k and savings account. Neither one seem to be going anywhere.

403b; 6%+ 6% match by employer, plus another 6% by employer in a pension plan. So 18% total, outta be enough to hang it up before reaching 60

Had 401k for a while, with kids I can't afford to contribute anymore so I'll be working for the rest of my life.

I've got a Roth IRA, we've got stocks (some of them took to the crapper, but not enough to pull out), CDs, and 401k plans. Next up, mutual funds and real estate investing in the somewhat near future. I always wanted to be a slumlord.

403b for me too, 8% with equal match by employer. I don't watch it closely. Husband has 401K but I'm not familiar with details.
I don't pay enough attention to it as I should, but frankly, I'm often overwhelmed by day-to-day finances (and reining in my husband's spending).
