Well, Rex is quite busy and probably won't get a race report up for a while so I thought I'd chime in.

We had driven the course the night before to get a feel for it (I hate surprises) and I spent all night in anxiety over the hills. I'm not great at hills, since I run on a treadmill.

Anyway, it was a magnificent day--40 degrees, sunny and cloudless. We left our kids with my mom and off we went, a whole 2 miles, to this race right near our house.

I of course went to the very back and Rex headed up front. He had a great race--he PR'd, I'll let him tell you his time. I didn't PR (34:21, as compared with my last race of 32 and change) but I had a good time anyway.

I don't love racing but I was very happy to do this race since it was a full circle. Almost two years ago, Rex and I ran our first race together. Immediately after that race, I had some ankle trouble, to put it mildly, that left me not running for a long while, and Rex took some time before really finding his ground as a runner and enjoying a whole new side of himself he never knew before.

And did I mention it's a great t-shirt?

Anyway, next on the race list for me is the Philadelphia Bar Association 5K on May 15th. I already checked--the course is flat.

Nice race, G3! Having a great time at a race is as important as having a good time in a race. Very Happy

Good, steady running Go!! It makes me Mr. Green to see you out there again after everything you've gone through with that ankle.
