How's your semester shaping up so far? How'd you do last semester, grade wise? Anyone got an expected graduation date yet?

Me:
Busy as hell but I am loving it! Three really challenging work intensive courses but all good stuff. Mr. Green
Grade wise, two A's, which made me pretty happy!!!
I just figured out that with shifting my internship around to give me a little more breathing room, I will be done Fall 2005!!! Dancing Banana

Last semester - A- in ed psych (surprising because that dude HATED me, and I hated him), A in algebra (expected), C in accounting (expected as I took the easy route aka no studying for the final). But my grades don't count for my program anyway - a certificate is a certificate.

This semester - missed week one of class due to traveling for business. Good because the textbooks I ordered from half.com, where I paid a third of what I would have at the bookstores, have yet to arrive. Last night attended Algorithms in Visual Basic class which is actually a programming in Basic course, so I shall ace it. Two online courses won't teach me anything - they're read, answer questions, submit type courses with no online lecture Evil or Very Mad but should prove to be major time suckers. We shall see about my child psych class tonight.

Graduation (aka certificate completion) = no later than May 2005, even if it kills me. Which is likely. I'll be teaching F/T that September.

Last semester I did well, but you know it ended in October. A in PE, A in Legal Prof Intro, A in Theology, B in Lit. I'm pissed about the B.

This semester is looking good, but still so much work to do before May rolls around. A in Sociology, A in 20th Century World, High B in Law & Ethics. I have to pull my head out of my arse there. I should be acing it, but only have turned in 3 out of 17 chapters, so nothing to fret about. I have 2 large projects for L&E that I've yet to start, but should be able to pull As in them if I work hard.

Let me see: I need 125 credits for the degree. I will have earned 24 by the end of May, so I expect to graduate around 2010, give or take. If my plan to get a job works out this fall, my graduation will be even later as I will have to take the minimum 6 credits per semester if I plan on making good grades, which I think is the plan. Classes start tonight (I don't want to start back)
2 labor intensive online classes, one of which is also conveniently the most boring topic of all time, and one in class which I can assess a PITA level to later.
graduation date: I don't want to talk about it today...(Dec '06 hopefully? oh thats so far)

i kicked bootay last semester.

A's in endocrinology and hormones and behavior
B in biochem

this semester sucks.

genetics, microbio, physics, and an intro lab. all easy stuff, but incredably boring. and the teachers all treat us like we're in high school. oh yeah, and we all remember how much i love physics.

date of graduation: MAY 15!!!! wOOt!

lets see...

term 2 has been a bit of a drag compared to term 1... outside of math and accounting we haven't learnt much new... we still have computers (which is suprisingly tough) and communications continuing on this term.

so i don't have any new classes... and i haven't been going to marketing because the teacher was sick last week, and i've been gearing up for next weeks midterms.

accounting is looking up, we're on our 3rd teacher for the term who is quite the prof i must say. so hopefully he can salvage something from the first two boneheads we had...

math ain't too bad - it's a LOT of calculator work, and if Texas Instruments ever goes out of business, well we won't have any idea how to do the calculations that we've learnt. which is mildly concerning.

i hope to keep my GPA sparkling after these midterms, but it's gonna take quite a bit of work to get an A in computers this time around. i have a week to learn accounting, and 3 days after that to polish up math.

i'm not too concerned. there's no sense goin' in thinking you're not gonna burn it up Mr. Green

ps. grad isn't until next year Razz

Oops, forgot to mention date of graduation: May 2007.

The way I see it, I'll be 41 one way or the other. May as well be a 41-year-old attorney.

Coursework somewhat more interesting than last term but more intense. Taking genetics 2 (molecular), cell physiology, regular biochem, ecological plant biochem (my most favorite class so far), medical microbiology and immunology (also an interesting one), and biostats (most boring)

First midterms are arriving in 2-3 weeks- genetics Feb 2 and biochem, Feb 9
Currently discussing possible project opportunities with my summer supervisor (who's also teaching ecol. plant biochem) and he gave me an option of working in a forest/plant genomics lab (particularly with up/down regulation of genes responsible for encoding enzymes involving the synthesis of defense compounds in trees in response to insect herbivory)

Term 1 GPA: 75%- min requirement to maintain honors standing, need to work harder and smarter this term to maintain or boost it

Grad. date: April 2005

First class, tonight. This is my final semester! Very Happy Mr. Green (although I won't walk until Aug. - Evil or Very Mad)

So far, 4.0 in tact.
