I watched Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat the other day on the treadmill and I'd have to say that it's my favorite musical. A very close runner-up would be The Music Man.

Ok I'm sure there will be plenty who will tell me why it's SUCH a mediocre muscial, but I rather enjoyed the Phantom...

I've only see a few, but Phantom of the Opera rocks. The music is fantastic, IMHO. I always try to catch this show when it comes to Atlanta at least once. Saw it in Toronto as well.

Cats. That's #1 by far right now. Second, and i've only seen the movie version, would have to be Grease

Theatre - only musical I ever saw was "A Chorus Line".
Movies - any Elvis movie. Because they're so bad, they're good.

I loved Phantom, have seen it about 5 times......Evita was definitely a close second followed by A Chorus Line. That one always gets me.....
A lesser known one, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, was a great local production up in New Hope when I lived in Bucks County, and they did a wonderful Sound of Music too.
