Every cyclist has to be able to ride fast. I am not very good at it. I guess my genes had something else in mind for me. However I am aware of the fact that I have to work on it. I was wandering what’s your fastest speed on the bike. I would like to know how bad I am compared to the others.

Speed is very important. After all, the fastest cyclist wins the race. Some riders are blessed with more fast-twitch muscle fibers which enable them to ride at incredible speed. If you want to be the best rider you have to find a way to win in every possible situation. Therefore you should learn to sprint among other things. A few sprint workouts on a weekly basis will work wonders for your speed and increase your chances of winning. My top speed was some 69 km/h speed while sprinting.
