Ok. Here's the issue:

Wedding. Second time for both of them.

Midafternoon. Weather partly cloudy, luncheon following. I've already RSVP'd.

I asked the bride if I could wear a white sheath dress. She had no problems with that.

It's sleeveless. Can I wear stockings and closed toed shoes?

If I wear open toed shoes (they are also backless) can I wear hose with those???

Please help. I am such a moron when it comes to this crap. Auto shopper's weekly didn't even begin to cover this stuff.

My suggestion is cut-offs, a wife beater and barefoot. Oh yeah, and a ball cap with a ponytail sticking out the back.

No hose. Hose is for old ladies and stuff. Use self tanner if you think you're pasty.

no. hose.

I mean, if you're absolutely going to wear hose, then the first is your best option, but I like the open toed shoes and no hose personally. But its hot there right? Don't do that to yourself! skip them!

Hose is for wintertime and/or business suits with closed toed heels. Sleeveless dresses are made for open toed sandals (heeled or flat) with no hose.

It's chilly in my mind.

Second/third questions: The dress, although lined is still a bit too showy. What do I do?

Third: What can I wear as a jacket? I'm always freezing.

take this with a grain of salt as my favorite place to buy clothes these days is Dick's sporting goods, for real.

nothing wrong with the stockings and closed-toed shoes but i would want to wear the open-toed and no hose. i'm just sayin -- backless sandals/slide things are impossible to keep on your feet with hose.

go bare-legged!! woman!!

do you have a dressier cardigan-type sweater?

if your top is warm, the bare legs won't matter as much. top warm bottom will stay warmer. top cold, whole body goes numb....that's me.

sweater.
