How does your boss/company rate?

Mine is pretty good. Yesterday when Jen called and said that Kim was sick and asked me if I would be able to come home. I asked my boss, if I could leave and she said without hesitation, go right ahead.

My company sucks in almost every way. I just what I have to do and they accept that.

my district is family friendly as far as what has been negotiated into the contract, and I realize that it is very good. there are some things that the principals will do to help out though. I've occasionally had to leave during the day and not report it as one of my sick/personal days. I can always bring my kids to work with me on "take your daughter (or kid) to work day" that's never been a problem.

My boss is very cool regarding family issues. I, in turn, don't abuse the situation. We act like responsible adults; we are treated like responsible adults.

That's pretty much how they run our company too. Works for me.

Same here. I pretty much can come and go when I want....which is why I have so much leeway--they know I will be here unless it is important.

My bosses are cool about it, but I still feel pangs of guilt. I am getting over it, though. Neutral
