Posted: 09/14/04 - 08:23 Post subject: Fall Virtual Event
Its been awhile since our last virtual event. I am looking to see if we have enough people interested to get an event going.
What I have in mind is a multisport event (Running, Cycling, Swimming, etc)
If interested or you have any questions sign up below

It depends on the time line. I want to be in but I don't want to kill myself for a virtual race when I have my first marathon coming up (and I know how I like to push myself on the virtual races).

Here are the mileage equivalents that I am going to use
Sport|Conversion(Distance:Equivalent Running Mile)
Running/Walking: 1:1
Swimming: 1:4
Cycling: 4:1
Rowing: 2:1
Let me know if we need to add something else
edited for swimming correction

4:1 for swimming? Shouldn't it be the other way around?
I think I'm gonna pass. I have way too much on my plate.

I think I'm interested.
I'm like a "born again" runner or something. I really feel like putting on some miles, now that racing season is over.

Last winter my fitness center had a "virtual ironman". Using the IM swim, bike & run distances, a person takes as long as they need to in getting them done at their own pace. It was a fun one. We could do an individual and a team event. Or somehow combine the two.

Shouldn't bicycling milage be 4 bike to 1 running?
But I'd be in.
