I'm not a big pie baker but I do love all types of bread. I just got rye flour so I'll be baking some rye bread this weekend. Cooking ROCKS! Sweet potato pie sounds awesome, pfffff! Wonder how well they ship?
RB, is that beer-cheddar cheese soup? |
All these things are delectable. Now where's the pumpkin beer again?

Lakefront brewery has it. I am not a fan of it but it is a big seller for them.

Alan strikes me as the type to hire someone to do the dishes on holidays.

I love fall cooking. Soups, Stews, Chowder, breads, pies...it's all good!
But Thanksgiving I let my inlaws have all the fun. I usually bring sweet potatoes.

Next food question: Stuff the turkey or cook the dressing outside?

INSIDE ONLY. Otherwise too dry and icky.
And it's stuffing, yo.

The hell it does! All you need to do is take 3-4 sticks of butter, cut into pats, and stick 'em on the bird. Baste thoroughly every half hour. I am not usually known for my cooking, but I am WELL known for how well I cook a turkey. Mine are never dry due to this method.

I'm planning the holiday cookie baking extravaganza. I'm going to add a variety of cheesecakes to the mix of things I make this year. I have to practice a couple of times in the month of November though. I'm hoping to get back in sync to having the whole shopping list done by the second weekend in November so that I can bake whenever I have a free 1.5 hours.

Yo, Only if it's stuffed in the inside, no?
Regionalism, too. Trying to be sensitive here, kid. I always call it stuffing.
And FYI, I defy anything to be too dry when you slather it with ONE POUND of butter!!!!!
