Well, just to date myself:
I participated in the Davy Crockett fad. Yes, I had a coonskin hat.
The 60's. When my son asks what I did during college in the 60's I answer: "None of your business"
I own a Rolex that I bought in 1967 when it was not the timepiece of choice for Yuppies. I just wanted a good watch. (I paid $ 125.00 for it)
Fortunately I never got into disco.
Anything after 1980 is not a fad, its advertising.
I have worn: Low rise bell bottoms, bell bottom pants, a leisure suit.
In 1975 and again in 2000, I followed the Atkins Diet. I lost 62 lbs the first time and kept most of it off until 1990. This round I've lost 55 and kept about 50 of it off so far.
