Does anyone else here enjoy this show as much as I do?
It almost seems too good to be true, tho...

I haven't seen it except in passing. While I'd love someone to come in to overhaul my house (in dire need of an overhaul), I'd be worried of shoddy workmanship from working so fast. Isn't that one of the deals - that the makeover is done really fast or am I wrong?

They do it in a week...
but the DO it. Last night they had HUNDREDS of workers. Not just volunteers. Construction dudes and dudettes. Craftsmen. Something like 13,000 man hours.
And they bar no expense. You'd be amazed what they come up with in seven days. Granted, you can't inspect it, but it sure LOOKS great.
Sears has a major stake in it they give all the appliances and electronics. And we ain't talkin no kenmore scratch n dent avacado electric stove...

I agree, they do. And the folks on the show seem genuinely moved by what they are doing. Both the designers, and the worker bees.
Seems like every week they find some family that's even MORE deserving than the last week. At least it feels that way. Actually they're all pretty equal in that category. Could they do any better at that?

It's the only show our whole family sits and watches together. Just amazing, not only the tangible work, but the emotional side of it puts lumps in your throat everytime. Great stuff.

I usually am eating Sunday dinner while watching it. I never have to add salt to my food...

He pines for the "Trading Spaces" glory days. The life-sized cutout of Paige in his bedroom attests to that.
