I don't know if this counts, but I'm a volunteer at iVillage.com, helping women deal with miscarriage. I've been doing this for about 4.5 years now. I was active in our elementary school when we lived in IN, but just haven't managed to get involved here. I need to do that.

edited to add that i will be joining a couple of paralegal organizations as soon as I have the money to pay student dues. the nala chapter here in Charlotte looks particularly interesting.

I am on the board of our local theater group. I will be helping with my daughter's band competition that they are hosting. and since I am on staff at a church I'm a part of some committees but I don't go to all of their meetings.

Right now all I have time for is work, school, sleeping, eating, and marathon training. Once and a while if the planets align just right I get to spend time with The Paramedic or friends.

As of this weekend I am a contributing writer to our running club newsletter, but other than that I know I have no follow thru, so I rarely volunteer more than once for a particular cause. If you have an urgent, short term, no responsibility need...I'm your girl. Embarassed

Most of you know that I am involved with my local volunteer fire company. Been doing that for over 17 years.

I was just recently appointed to the Board of Directors of my Alma Matters Alumni Association. That should be pretty cool
