Who the F@$% are these people?
Major storm heading your way....we have Dr so & so chief weather expert.
Something happened with the military... We have Gen/Col Walt "Colt 45" Retired from the office of Guney and Roses.
Somebody heading for electric chair...We have chief legal expert Dr Jude Law to give us the "current" analysis.
there was this story warining ladies not to use certain brand of eye liner used by women from India (KAJAL) due to the high concentration of lead.
The expert was a person from the health department... a woman with pale skin and no make-up......... WTF
Sorry its the rant of the day.

I'm assuming they have these people on retainer and pull them out of their pockets according to the flavor of the day.
They pi$$ me off, too. Rarely do they offer great insight.

An "Expert" is anyone who travels more than 50 miles to give you an opinion.
The further they travel to give you that opinion, the more of an expert they are.
One of the many rules of business.

Out-talked by the mass media,
To pay the bills, it lies.
And the lies we eat with breakfast.
Simple. A desparate try to gain a leg in credibilty on the competition. "Our story's more believable because we've got Joe Schmuck who used to do this, and he can tell us all about the process and what the main characters in the story are thinking, doing and, planning."

I always wondered that too!
I was in college during the gulf war and I remember a classmate/friend of mine's father was interviewed as a "middle east expert". He was a professor of middle eastern studies...I guess that's what made him an "expert"!
