They call it the Winter Party. I'm loving these excuses but I guess I forgot to mention that I need excuses to tell my husband because he wants to go and I'd rather stick needles in my eyeballs.
I already offered money to a cow-orker to run me over in the parking lot the day before the party. He said he'd do it for free. |
a winter ball!! how special. just think snowflakes and disco balls and long dresses and stuff. uncomfortable shoes. oh heck yeah, it's got your name on it.
run till your feet bleed that morning...like 27 miles. make them blister and stuff. then tell hubby you'll have to go barefoot or not go at all....and make sure you've got lots of HULK bandaids on those feet for all to see...hobble alot.
or threaten to wear something really really fugly like a granny poncho over a mini skirt with white patent leather go-go boots and do something ODD to your hair. really ODD.

One of my favorite times of year!!!
They have one here, too, that you can watch from the vicinity of the Golden Gate Bridge. Breathtaking!
