An idiot (patient) wants to debate the finer points of Medicare coverage with me. my field. and tell me i am ot informed. just cuz you and your doctor don't know the regulations don't start with me.

Basically Friday this gentlema's test were not covered by Medicare on Friday. I had to explain it and he was very close minded on listening to me. Finally his physiscian decided to cancel the test.Today he returns for the same test, the same reason listed and wants to have a "Special Encore Presentation" of Friday's conversation. I'm not having it. Told him the facts, and nothing but the facts, he started up again, i left.

i went to the break room and did push-ups Mr. Green i came out, his paper was signed.

How timely. Today I started the first of my 3 day billing and A/R class. We discussed formularies, specifically Medicaid's, and why they had to be specific as to what was and wasn't covered. People were like why? why does this need to be on the formulary? I'm like, so someone who orders it knows whether or not they'll pay for it, dummy, before it leaves your pharmacy.

I hear your pain....many moons ago...i worked for medicare. Looking back some things were absolutely hilarious....but at the time everything was very frustrating. It's funny to hear old people use some of the excuses that 5 yr old use. "My dog tore my check to pieces....can you send me a new one".......excuse me please...............

.......Sue running to the microfiche................checked is cashed........

"mamam, you must have taped it together pretty good, because it's been cashed at your bank"

"I didn't sign it...whose signature is on the back?" let me check....

"ummmmmm.....yours (surprise)"

"can you send me a copy?"

"sure" times this conversation by thousands

follow-up: Many times these resourceful oldtimers would take a copy of the front and back of check and glue it together and the dumb-a$$ bank would cash it.

But.....there was that one time...the little old lady was telling the truth......the old man across the street was lifting her check from the mailbox and forging her name......so again.....dumba$$ bank!!!
