How do you handle rude comments?

Do you assume the azzhat just wasn't socialized properly as a puppy?

Do you zing them back?

Do you just go through your day and lick your wounds?

Do you talk to someone and see if you were in the wrong?

How do you handle rude comments? I get pissed, but most of the time my feelings are hurt.

Do you assume the azzhat just wasn't socialized properly as a puppy? I just assume they're just mean and unfeeling.

Do you zing them back? Usually not. If my feelings are hurt, I'm afraid I'll cry if I open my mouth, or they'll see my weakness and they "got" to me.

Do you just go through your day and lick your wounds? As best I can.

Do you talk to someone and see if you were in the wrong? Always. It's always the other person's fault.

It depends on who it is. I tend to zing right back. I'm not really a sulker, either.

Typically, I say: "Do yourself a favor and go favor yourself." Sometimes in that way, sometimes in the more straightforward way.

Is that wrong?

I make them feel dumb with a clever retort or let them know I think they're immature to try to insult me (or my friends). Then I laugh when they threaten to beat me up (people always do. Now how do they suppose they are going to catch me?)
Or of course, I go right back and make fun of the person Twisted Evil

first my face is extremely expressive and speaks load for me. I've been told this by more than 1 person.

afterthat it depends on in what manner i am in. Work, and a paitient normally i wait till they leave and just make fun of them. occassionally i just put them in thier place when what they are doing is a major issue/concern. cow-oinkers. i exaggerte my expressions and basically air it out.

in public? basically call thier bluff respond with a witty retort
a driver in the city. i speed up and cath them at the light, cut them off and chew them out. if i can't catch them i give them the Suck my Ba**s sign.

I give them a raised eyebrow WTF look and then cuss like a sailor about them when they are not in my presence. If they're really rude...I cuss like a sailor under my breath in front of them.

That should get them, eh?

Somehow, I can't really see you calling someone a "buttnut".
