Posted: 04/28/03 - 02:04 Post subject: Everyone else but her heard the
horn sounding on her car.
Poor lady, she is 83 years old and her electrical system in her car catches fire and activates her car horn. We go there, pop the hood, and try to disconnect the battery. But the car smells like it is burning so we call the FD.
I call the lady and am yelling at her on the phone only because she cannot hear me. The whole neighborhood is awake but her. Thank goodness for being hard of hearing.
Well, the horn was shut off and the neighbors were back asleep in no time.
Poor lady.

Not in TX. All my deaf students drive. You should be in the car with them when they're talking to each other. Very frightening.

Dude, I'm FROM PA so it's OK. If this is NOT true, that would explain my ridiculously expen$ive car insurance.
