Okay, for all you following my little story about the guy I met at a bar...I just ran into him at Taco Bell (of all places Very Happy ) and we are going for a run tomorrow night!! I'm not going to lie to you, it's kinda strange for me, especially since he's from PA Evil or Very Mad .

Anyone else ever meet a stranger and plan a run?

I've ridden with a guy that I met from the internet. He and I and a friend of mine got together and rode the first time, but I've ridden with, spoken to and generally been a nice guy towards him since. Just make sure you can run faster than him if something goes wrong.

I've never met someone I didn't know and planned a run with them, but I have gone to the trail to begin a run and end up running with someone I didn't know. All of the people I run with now I met because of a local bulletin board and the weekly runs with our local track club. I figure there are so few of my non-running friends that enjoy hearing me drone on about running, that these people might acutally be interested in talking about it! Who knows?? You might have just met your new best running buddy. That, or he picked you up cuz he thought you were a hottie. Wink

Joel, that is how I met RunswithScissors. We posted on the old Kick site and got together for a run. Of course he wasn't stalking me like this guy is you. I mean come on... How many people live in Oshkosh and you keep running into him. Shocked

I'm sure that falling off your bike didn't draw much attention to yourself. Wink

i was in cape may nj 2 years ago and i meet a dude on the promenade one day, talked with him and we running one day ran for a few miles
met him the next day had a nice time and nice talk

find out he is like a senior nco (non commisioned officer) at the Coast Guard academy in cape may. i knew him as steve and him and i were really cool, never got around to what we did

couple months later i see him at a marathon in cape may, he remember me and we ran together then too for a few

this is what i like about running, in our respective uniforms we command a great deal of respect but out of them we were regular dudes just running along
it was fun

I met a few cool runners for a run back in January, 3 of whom I never even heard of, a couple that I had met through the forum. We hit it off pretty good.

A stranger is someone you haven't met yet.

Okay, tonight's the night. I'm planning on doing 8 miles with 'the stranger'. I'll let you know how it goes!
