So far not a lot is cheap yet. But if you want to after Memorial Day all the rates will be going up and will stay there until after August. My advice is use miles if you got 'em. Even if you don't, but you're close, some airlines will let you buy the rest, for about $.03 a mile, which is still significantly less than the cost of a ticket.

Great idea, I think I am on one airline....
I'm trying to go before June. And with the Olympics this summer in Greece I'm afraid it may be hard later in the summer anyway.

Whatever you do, don't give your camera to some Frenchman to take some video in front of a fountain.

Consider flying in/out of a main airport; London's Heathrow (you can take the Chunnel to Brussels), Frankfurt, etc., then taking trains or cars to the different places you want to go. I just booked flights in/out of Milan for less than $800/person; not bad as flying in/out of Bologna was $2300.
Check out on-line consolidators like lowestfares.com, and check Expedia and Hotwire.com for good fares. Flying in/out midweek and staying over a weekend will typically get you a lower fare.
What are your general plans?

I'm finding if I fly out of a major airport (more so than IAH) like JFK then I can get cheaper fares, and I have enough miles for a domestic flight so I might try to work something like that. GREAT idea about Heathrow/Chunnel.
My dad will be working in the Netherlands for the next several months, I thought I would great opportunity to visit him and travel a bit too if I can swing it financially.
