We are lucky enough to have the Pineapple Express (warm air from the tropical Pacific) coming through our neighborhood...with it comes rain, warm temps (anywhere from 50-60 degrees- it gets warmer inland), and more rain...now almost all the snow is gone but now the sidewalks are starting to flood ...Today I was running outside in shorts and short-sleeves..last week I was bundled up in tights and 2-3 layers of clothing...what's the rush into spring?

Well...
We are not going above freezing for at least a week. Tonight is a warm spell at about 15. Tomorrow will hit 20 but with wind but WC will be below zero.
We expect to get WAY below zero by Friday/Saturday

You don't know from flooding. We have flooding here (a few homes on the way to school that sit very low by the lake/river--hell if I know what body of water it is) and to the north and south of us. I always worry after any precip that our highway to school will be out. My little shortcut that runs by the lake/river has been closed for 2 days now.
Scary weathers out there, yo!

They started warning us today that a "significant snowfall event" will possibly occur beginning Friday night and lasting into Saturday. Guess I better make sure the snowbooger truck is gassed up and ready to push snow for all my new friends....
... SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM POSSIBLE FOR NORTHERN OHIO AND EXTREME NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA LATE FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY...
LOW PRESSURE CURRENTLY OVER WESTERN CANADA WILL TRACK INTO THE NORTHERN PLAINS BY FRIDAY. THE LOW WILL THEN MOVE INTO THE OHIO VALLEY BY SATURDAY MORNING WHILE DEEPENING. AS THE LOW MOVES EAST... IT WILL PICK UP MOISTURE FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO AND THE ATLANTIC OCEAN. THE COMBINATION OF COLD AIR ALREADY IN PLACE ACROSS THE REGION AND THE DEEP MOISTURE WILL ALLOW SNOW TO DEVELOP LATE FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY MORNING. DEPENDING ON THE EXACT TRACK OF THE STORM... THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT SIGNIFICANT SNOW WILL FALL LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING ACROSS THE REGION. AREAS ALONG AND SOUTH OF A FINDLAY TO WOOSTER TO CANTON LINE HAVE THE BEST CHANCE TO SEE HEAVY SNOW. HOWEVER... THE TRACK OF THE STORM IS STILL UNCERTAIN... AND IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE ENTIRE AREA WILL SEE SIGNIFICANT

Glad I got milk last night |
It was only an inch of snow--I don't know that it was a storm. But it sure did cripple the whole region, didn't it?
This weekend's predicted storm is set to be big, though, just in time for the game.
