What % does your employer pay for your health insurance? My company is paying 75%.
Our copay went up to $25 though.

Would the employer contribution change if you had family coverage? When I was single and at a different job, I got 100% employer contribution.

My health insurance (State Employee/Teacher plan) is totally free (for me). One of the perks of gov't, although the coverage sucks.
I could add spouse/family for a decent rate, though.
We do have an option of using an approved HMO and the state would help cover the premium. I think the coverage might be a little better, but you pay a few hundred a month for it.

100% for everyone, thus the reason a lot of people stay here for life.
so....you're saying 100% isn't uncommon? Sweet, I'm still quitting.

Ours is going up yet again as of Feb. 1st. 5 years ago when DH started this current job we paid $13.00 for 13 weeks then they paid the rest, we contributed nothing and had 80/20 coverage $250.00 family deductible. That lasted about a couple years and has gone up every year since and they give you less coverage and still tell you it's better now. We currently pay more than $200.00 a month for family coverage, our deductible is $750.00 for family, $450.00 per person, and all the co-pays for office visits and meds are going up like I said Feb. 1st. It really pisses me off to thre point I'd just like to have major surgery to make the b@stards pay something.
Did I mention the company is self insured and we have had many instances in the past where claims we not paid cuz there was no money in their account to pay them?

I chose this option when I was employed, at first it was alot!!! then it was a little and I was pissed when I had an expensive childbirth and my husband's employer got stuck with the bill......I still regret it today that I chose to save a few a bucks. (mostly because his employer was a teaching hospital and mine was a big fat private insurer) Release me from my guilt!!!!!!!!!!
