I'm sure this will be clearer after you explain yourself, but for right now...HUH? |
Companies can save alot of money if a employee opts out. The employer gives kick back for choosing to opt out. Employee opts out because a spouse has good or great insurance. I think it gets a little "hairy" when there is children involved at the "opt out" spouse is the "birthday rule" spouse. When spouse employer finds that employed spouse would normally cover children first....they's not alway happy.

Our insurance is on Rex's employer, thus I don't use mine. They still give me in cash what they would have paid toward my premium.

i'm not sure what they're paying, 80% sounds reasonable.

Our companies pay 60% of the premiums; we pay 40%. Very rare in Monroe County to have an employer even offer health insurance, let alone pay for a portion. But don't get me going on the insurance company, please.

DH's employer pays a portion of his employee premium, but it's nominal. DH pays 100% of mine and the girlie's premium. We pay a total of $550/month in health insurance premiums.
