Do you all get these occasionally?
answered with Strongly disagree, disagree, slightly disagree, slightly agree, agree, Strongly agree

ex.
-I enjoy my work
-Job stress is affecting my health
-In this organization, people take advantage of others to get ahead
-My supervisor is skilled and experienced
-I am satisfied with my pay (I want to know the 2 that strongly agreed with this one)
-My supervisor keeps me up-to-date about what is happening
-The people in charge here have a clear vision of where we are going
-New projects here are usually well planned
-I would rather work here than anywhere else I know

..interesting results, looks like I'm less disgruntled than most.

No real format for evaluations here. Mine is just like a memo tha goes into my file. I do fill out a self evaluation though, which I tend to be harder on myself than I think.

I've always gotten those.

The funny thing is that all of those surveys are Statistically Invalid. Meaning, they are crap and worthless.

Each person has a different perception of what "Strongly agree" or "Agree" means. Also, any type of rating system 1-5, 1-10 is also stupid because a topic I rate a 4 may only get a 3 from you- even if we feel the same about the topic.

The point of these surveys is based on the "Hawthorne Effect" where employees feel better just because they feel their employer is trying to do something.

This isn't me being a cynic either. I lurnt it at skool.

Emergency tip:

Always rate "I am paid fairly" as Strongly Disagree.

jrjo is on top of this one.

I don't care if you are Bill Gates or Warren Buffett. You better get everyone in your group to vote the same, too.

Otherwise, you have just given your employer all the reason in the world to stop coming up with a way to give you more money.

You - "Why did we only get a 1% raise this year?"

Catbert - "Well, 76.87% of the workforce is happy with their current compensation."

There are many things that I don't miss about corporate and this is one of them . Like runner x says, the results are a load of cods anyway so you may as well have abit of fun skewing their "results" and tell them they completely suck at everything Razz Mr. Green .

Then you learn about the true meaning of 'confidential survey'.

I worked for one company that had you take the test online and provide your employee number at login. However, I was assured that the survey was "completely confidential and anonymous".

Yeah, right.
